What we believe
The Trinity
We believe there is one true God who eternally exists in three Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. God is one in essence and three in person, as revealed throughout Scripture.

God the Son
We believe Jesus Christ is eternally God, existing with the Father and the Holy Spirit from the beginning. Through Him all things were created. For our salvation, He became fully human by the Holy Spirit through the virgin Mary while remaining fully God. Jesus is forever one Person with two natures—fully God and fully man. Through His life, death, resurrection, and ascension, He accomplished our redemption.

The Bible
We believe the Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is the final authority for faith, doctrine, and Christian living and is complete, requiring no addition or revision. Scripture provides all that is necessary for teaching, correction, and training in righteousness.

Salvation
We believe salvation is God's free gift, made possible through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and received by grace through faith. Salvation involves repentance, faith in Jesus Christ, and receiving Him as Lord and Savior, resulting in forgiveness, new birth, adoption into God's family, and eternal life.
We believe every person must freely respond to God's offer of salvation. God's foreknowledge does not remove human responsibility to choose Christ. Those who trust in Jesus are secure in God's faithful and unchanging promises, and genuine salvation produces a life of growing obedience, love, and service to Christ.

Man
"Man is created in the image of God and stands as the crowning achievement of His creation. Though formed for fellowship with God, humanity became estranged from that relationship through sin and disobedience. Because of this separation, no person can restore a right relationship with God through personal effort alone. Every individual is uniquely fashioned by God, carrying inherent dignity, and is deserving of respect and Christian love."

God the Father
We believe God the Father is the Creator and Sustainer of all things. In His love, He created humanity in His image for relationship with Himself. After mankind's fall into sin, He made a way for restoration through Jesus Christ.

God the Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is fully God, the Lord and Giver of life. He was active throughout the Old Testament and was poured out upon the Church at Pentecost. He empowers believers for holy living, service, and witness, transforms us into the likeness of Christ, and equips the Church through the fruit and gifts of the Spirit. We believe the baptism in the Holy Spirit, received after salvation, brings a fuller empowerment for ministry and is accompanied by the biblical evidence of the Spirit's work in a believer's life.

The Atonement
We believe Jesus Christ's sacrificial death on the cross fully paid the penalty for the sins of the world. The benefits of His atoning work are received by those who place their faith in Him as Savior. Through His atonement, God has provided forgiveness, restoration, and healing for spirit, soul, and body, which believers receive by faith.

Meet the pastors
Dylan and Keirsten Jones
After 15 years of pastoring in Portland, Oregon, we are incredibly grateful to now be building NEUMA Church in the South Bay of Los Angeles. NEUMA is a local church that exists to help people make space for God daily and engage with Him in every area of their lives.
We have four amazing children—Avery, Harper, Luca, and Willow—who are excited to be part of building a church that serves and impacts every generation.
We’ve been building the local church together since the beginning of our marriage and have a deep passion for seeing people encounter Jesus in ways that bring lasting transformation. Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of serving in youth ministry, as campus pastors, in executive leadership, on teaching teams, and within church eldership. Through every season, our heart has remained the same: to see God bring life, hope, and transformation to anyone who is open to Him.
That’s why we started NEUMA Church. NEUMA means “the breath of God,” and we believe God desires to breathe fresh life into every person. NEUMA is a place where people can find freedom, discover their purpose, experience authentic community, and see families strengthened to impact generations.
A place to live in community.
NEUMA is not just about church on Sunday. It's a place where you're known, not just by name, but by story, because every person matters deeply to God, and to us.
It's where connection is cultivated and where authenticity is the norm, not the exception. Unity is practiced, not assumed. We choose honor over offense, and forgiveness over distance. It's an intentional fellowship of believers doing life together, the kind of place you can bring, or find your best friends… your family.
It’s where you're celebrated, for the gifts you carry and the spirit in which you serve. Here, greatness isn't found in being served, but in serving, and that service shows up most in the moments that matter. It's the kind of place that mourns with you when you mourn, and strengthens you when you're weak. A soft landing when times are hard, and a launching pad into your next season of purpose.
We are set apart, not by what we achieve, but by what we've received through Jesus Christ. And it's not just about Sundays. It's about every day — making space for God, together — with Him, in Him, through Him.
